What can I expect as part of a Community School?
A community school brings together the best parts of homeschooling along with the benefits of classroom learning. Parents take the primary responsibility to educate their children, and they receive direction and support from quality Christian teachers. The students are given instruction on campus 2 days per week, and the parents are responsible for homeschooling 2 days per week using the lesson plans sent home by the classroom teacher. Homeschool schedules will be determined by each family, but they should average around 2 hours of study each day plus extra-curricular activities (hours may increase in older grades). In our community school model all students in a grade level follow the same curriculum.
