Exceptional Student Education
Lighthouse Community School does not have an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) department. Therefore we have limited ability to support students with an existing Individualized Education Plan (IEP), specific learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other special needs. Unfortunately, our school is not equipped to meet the needs of students with mental health, psychiatric, or behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Bipolar Disorder, Mood Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD), or Schizophrenia. If it is determined by the Director that a student’s needs cannot be met by the school or a student has not adjusted to learning environment, the Director of the school reserves the right to ask parents to make alternative arrangements.
Statement Of Nondiscrimination
In the conduct of all aspects of its activities, the school admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school administered programs.
